Robert studied at University College Cork, graduating in 1994 with an honours Bachelor of Civil Law degree, grade 2.1. 

 

Robert attended the Law Society of Ireland, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1998.  In 2012 Robert also qualified to practice law in England and Wales.

 

Robert also holds a Diploma in Property Tax and a Certificate in Banking Law Practice and Bankruptcy.

 

Robert trained and qualified with the firm of McKeever Rowan in Dublin.  He worked in the firm of Byrne Wallace (formerly BCM Hanby Wallace) for 3 years, joining McKeever Taylor in 2002, becoming a partner in July 2003.

CONVEYANCING

Robert is a specialist in residential and commercial conveyancing. He has acted for a number of developers in relation to residential building schemes, as well as acting for purchasers of both new and second-hand residential properties.

 

Robert also has extensive experience in commercial conveyancing, advising on the purchase of office blocks, industrial buildings and hotels. 

 

BANKING & COMMERCIAL LENDING

 

Robert is our specialist banking and commercial lending partner. He is on the panel of a number of major financial institutions, including Ulster Bank Ireland d.a.c., Allied Irish Banks plc. and KBC Bank Ireland plc.  Robert has advised in relation to commercial and corporate lending, as well as lending to the residential investment sector. 

 

PROBATE

 

Robert handles the administration of deceased estates in all varieties, probate, administration intestate etc. He advises executors, administrators and beneficiaries in relation to the distribution of estates and the tax implications of same. He also advises in relation to the drafting of Wills in accordance with succession and tax law.
