Brian Taylor, Partner at McKeever Taylor LLP Solicitors, Drogheda, Co. Louth, Ireland

Brian attended the Law Society of Ireland and qualified as a solicitor in 1966.  He was apprenticed to the firm of McKeever and Son in Dublin and on qualification joined McKeever Taylor, becoming a partner in 1970.  Brian was the Managing Partner of McKeever Taylor from 1980 until 1998. 

 

Brian was President of the Drogheda Solicitors Association for 3 years and in 2017 received an award from the Drogheda Solicitors Association recognising his 50 years in practice.

Practice Areas

PROBATE

Brian specialises in all aspects of Probate practice. He has handled extensive probate litigation, both for legal personal representatives and for claimants, as well as advising in relation to all aspects of the administration of estates, whether Probate, intestacy, partially administered estates or lost wills.  Brian has advised on all aspects of capital taxes in connection with the administration of estates and specialises in the drafting of Wills which maximise the tax efficiency of the testator’s instructions. 

 

Brian also specialises in handling the transmission and/or sale of stocks, shares and other securities as part of the winding up of an estate.

 

PERSONAL INJURY

Brian has many years of experience in handling personal injury cases, primarily for Plaintiffs, but he has also acted for Defendants on a number of occasions.  Brian has appeared on behalf of Plaintiffs in all courts up to and including the Supreme Court.
